About our Firm
Grantham Cencarik, PC is a Massachusetts law firm located in the Lechmere area of Cambridge. Formed in August 2008, Grantham | Cencarik P.C. started serving clients in September 2008. Grantham Cencarik, PC was formed by Attorney Dax B. Grantham and Attorney Stefan E. Cencarik to better serve the interest of clients in the areas of Bankruptcy, business law, real estate law and complex civil litigation.

Attorney Dax B. Grantham is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Attorney Grantham is a founding partner of the Cambridge law firm Grantham | Cencarik, PC. Attorney Grantham represents plaintiffs and defendants in Civil Litigation before both the State and Federal Courts in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Attorney Grantham also represents clients in Residential and Commercial Real Estate transactions and represents both debtors and creditors before the United States Bankruptcy Court in Massachusetts. Prior to founding Grantham | Cencarik, PC, with attorney Stefan Cencarik, Attorney Grantham owned and operated the law firm of of Grantham & Associates, PC; specializing in the areas of Consumer Bankruptcy, Litigation and Real Estate.
Attorney Grantham is currently the managing partner of Grantham | Cencarik, PC where he assists clients with legal issues in the areas of bankruptcy, real estate, tax settlement and negotiation, and complex business litigation. Grantham | Cencarik, PC represents individuals and businesses before all State and Federal courts within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Education
Attorney Grantham received bachelor’s degrees in both Economics and Management from the University of South Alabama where he graduated with honors. Attorney Grantham then attended New England Law Boston, where he received his Juris Doctor in 2001. While in law school, Mr. Grantham was an editor on the New England Law Review and did a brief internship at the Appellate Tax Board in Boston.

Stefan E. Cencarik is a founding partner of Grantham Cencarik, PC who primarily focuses on Litigation, Bankruptcy, and Business Transactions.
Attorney Cencarik has appeared successfully in various State courts across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. Attorney Cencarik is adept in assisting clients in achieving favorable resolutions for individual and business clients through trials and arbitrations, extensive motion work, mediations and pre/post litigation settlement negotiations. Attorney Cencarik is also experienced in alternative dispute resolution, having assisted many clients in obtaining favorable resolutions to various disputes through mediation and direct settlement negotiations.
Attorney Cencarik specializes in Chapter 13 Bankruptcy, and assists our business clients reorganize in a Chapter 11 proceeding, or wind down operations during a Chapter 7 liquidation. He has intimately worked with several complex issues that typically arise during a Chapter 13 case, such as: Non-dischargeable debts, criminal liability on Creditor claims, Federal and State taxes, child support and alimony, disputing creditor claims, and a variety issues that arise with residential mortgages, foreclosures, and evictions. Attorney Cencarik is also experienced in negotiating with creditors, and, at times, reaching a solution to creditor claims without necessitating the protection of the Bankruptcy Court. Attorney Cencarik has successfully litigated several disputes against creditors in adversary proceedings in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.
Attorney Cencarik also focuses on the needs of Grantham | Cencarik, PC's business clients, and provides counsel on the formation of business entities, business operations, business expansion, establishing franchises and resolving/preventing liabilities.
Education:
Attorney Cencarik received a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from New England Law Boston and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, cum laude, from Boston University. During law school, he served as a Comment and Note Editor for The New England Law Review and received numerous distinctions for academic excellence. While attending BU, he partook in the school's London Internship Program where he clerked at Dawson Cornwell and Company, a prestigious family and real estate law firm based in London, United Kingdom. Prior to co-founding Grantham | Cencarik, P.C., Attorney Cencarik was an associate attorney with a Boston-area law firm.
